Newborn information:
From the moment you knew you were expecting, your whole world changed. There are no words I can share to truly prepare you for the way your heart will grow ten sizes the first moment you hold your newborn baby.
Those first few nights may seem long, but the days will pass in the blink of an eye — and a newborn photography session is the best way to ensure you and your loved ones can treasure these special, sleepy, wonderful days, long after they’ve turned into memories.
WHAT TO EXPECT –
THE STUDIO
Laura Fischer Photography studio is located in the heart of downtown Watertown, NY and provides a comfortable cozy environment for newborn sessions. All newborn sessions take place in my warm, cozy studio, designed to keep your little one asleep and content. Newborn sessions are done 7-21 days after birth. We highly suggest reaching out to us as soon as possible as we take on a limited number of newborns per month.
We supply all of the backdrops, headbands, bonnets and props so there is nothing you need to bring. We want you to be able to come in, sit down, and relax while we take care of everything. Sessions can take anywhere from 1-3+ hours. This is so that we have time built in to feed and soothe the baby.
THE BOOKING PROCESS
Once you decide you’d like to book with us, we will email you our contract, newborn questionnaire forms, our newborn welcome guide & the $125 deposit to reserve your session with us. We will also schedule a phone or studio newborn consultation to further chat the details of the newborn session, discuss the setups, etc. Upon booking, your due date goes on my calendar. Once the baby is born, a session date and time is set up 1-3 weeks of delivery. The remaining of your invoice balance will be due before the session.
AFTER THE SESSION
Within one week of your session, I send over your proofing gallery where you can choose the images that are included in your collection. More images are available for purchase. Once you have chosen your favorite images, I finish the editing process and send you your final gallery with the high resolution images for downloading in an online gallery.

All collections include high resolution digital images delivered to you in an online gallery with print release. Printing rights to the images are included, so you can print anywhere and at any size. Additional digitals & prints/products are also available for purchase if interested.

1. Fill out form
Simply go to our contact page, fill out the form & we will be in contact with you within 24-48 hours. We will gather all the info, go over those details & further chat!
2. Sign Contract
Once you've decided to book with us, we will email you our contract & newborn questionnaire forms, along with our newborn welcome guide & the $125 deposit! Once all is set & paid for, we will mark down your due date into our calendar.
3. The Big Day
Please let us know if you have any induction dates or when baby makes their arrival, we will chat more on the date/time. We work mainly on weekends at 10am!
Once arrived at the studio, we will get settled in & go over the setups. Please sit back & relax during the session.
4. Photos & Prints
We will email you the rough gallery for you to choose your final images. The editing process on your gallery will take 3-4 weeks to fully complete!
Any prints or products are available to our clients. We order through top notch printing companies!
